2022: Q1 & Q2 Highlights

It has been a successful year to date for Carbon8 as we continue to grow and deliver Circular Impact. With the first 6 months of 2022 completed, we look back on the key business highlights of Q1 and Q2.

1. Series A Completion

In June we announced the completion of our £5m Series A investment led by EDF and Vicat. Vicat, the international cement group, EDF Group and its corporate venture capital arm, EDF Pulse Ventures, have co-invested £4m (€4.69m) in the company. We are proud to be working with these multinational companies, who share our vision in pioneering the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors.

2. PwC's Future 50 Report

PwC's NetZero Future50 report highlights 50 UK ClimateTech innovators who are set to help decarbonise industry and enable the transition to a more circular and sustainable future.

We were delighted to be recognised in this report, which evaluated over 3,000 start-ups from PwC's Climate Tech Investment Index. The publication covered start-ups across six sectors and two core themes; Climate Change Management and Reporting, and Carbon Capture, Removal and Storage.

3. Carbon8 won +20 new colleagues

Carbon8 at the company Away Day

Since the start of 2022 Carbon8 won over 20 more passionate and innovative colleagues, and we proudly speak over 25 languages across the business. New members joined us in departments including the Engineering, Operations, Commercial, HR and Laboratory Team.

Congratulations to the team and another warm welcome to all the new starters of 2022 so far.
